Clinical Massage

Using The Jing Method™ , clinical massage can treat a range of chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions including low back pain, neck pain, headaches, whiplash and many other ongoing injury or pain conditions. Jing advanced clinical massage therapists are trained in a range of safe and effective soft tissue and massage techniques that aim to reduce your pain and increase your movement within 1-6 clinical treatments using a warm and heart centred approach.

Clinical massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia to effect a physiological change or result to provide a therapeutic outcome for chronic pain conditions. Neuromuscular therapy techniques are also used within the clinical massage to help treat underlying causes of chronic pain that involve the central nervous or muscular systems. By combining various different massage techniques such as;

  • Power effleurage
  • Petrissage
  • Muscle energy techniques
  • Soft tissue release
  • Myofascial release
  • Trigger point therapy
  • Passive stretching
  • Application of hot or cold stones

clinical massage aims to successfully treat clients and free them from chronic pain usually within 1-6 clinical sessions to get the results you need.

This treatment starts with a consultation about your health and lifestyle to establish your needs and to assess where and why you need treatment.  Depending on your needs a postural assessment and range of motion testing may be performed to identify any restrictions or problem areas.

Exercises to do as home-care are normally given to promote faster healing and to help rehabilitation. Conditions that clinical massage can help with include:
